Hey, you're allowed to take pictures of bears? I've lived in places like that, and when I got out the camera, my husband nearly went beserk. "Get away from the window!!" Of course I was PG at the time, and he's been treed and repeatedly charged by a bear (three times, until he kicked it in the head and it finally left him alone), so he has a definite perspective on taking pictures and alarming them (I was going to use a flash).
Yep :) Sean grew up with them without having bad experiences like your husband, so long as I stay well back, he's ok with it. I took that pic from our fully enclosed, raised deck and was using the zoom, so I wasn't that close at all.
