Feeling better....

The day didn't start so well (dark, gloomy and rainy), but then I spent time in the library working on my ms AND the sun came out :) I realized while running errands after leaving the library that my mood had lightened considerably.

I pondered this for a while and it occurred to me that my doldrums (while somewhat hormonal) also must be connected to the lack of time I've taken recently to work on the final changes to my manuscript. Hopefully I'll get the rest of the changes made next week so I can submit it.

In other news, my desktop computer has been resurrected, thanks to Sean. Much of my week has been spent loading software back on and reconnecting various peripherals. My job search also continues, slowly but surely. After so many years working for the family company, it's certainly been interesting getting back into the regular job market.

We don't have any exciting plans for the long weekend, especially as Sean actually has to work on Monday.

Next week I'm going to blog about friendship - something that has been on my mind for various reasons over the last three weeks or so.

How about you? Anything exciting going on?

It's amazing what diving back into our manuscripts can do for our mood, isn't it? :-) I know that when life gets to be too much, I just think of my novel and I feel like it's my refuge.

I'm a gloomy-weather gal, so I probably would have been mad when the sun came out! ;-)

Glad you're feeling better.

We didn't do much for the long weekend. I like how "Labor Day" tends to be a day of work around here. I did laundry and hubby worked in the yard and on his car.

I need to dive back into my WIP. I'm nearing the end but I've been so distracted by everything else. Hopefully by Thursday I'll be back in the proverbial saddle with regards to writing.

Well, I moved my son to university over the long weekend and am still recovering emotionally from that. Not sure if he'll get home for Thanksgiving. For such a short flight (less than an hour), the price is something like $400 once you factor in taxes and surcharges. Sigh...

That's why my parents were so thrilled I went to Queen's - a 2 hour bus ride that at that point cost about $30 round trip!

At least you still have your younger guy at home :) Hope you feel all better soon - imagine it's a big wrench for you as a mum.
