Deborah Cooke (aka Claire Delacroix) on "Conquering the Synopsis"

Deborah wrote a great blog post on this topic. Speaking as one who has never perfected the art of the synopsis, I loved her advice. Hope you do too :)

Definitely checking that out! By the way, how are you finding Wolf Hall? I've heard mixed reviews but through it sounded intersting.

I'm really loving Wolf Hall. It's an absorbing read - lots of history, but also great characterization. And a marked contrast to the entertaining but mostly unhistoric Tudors tv series. There's lots of meat to it, but it's not too literary - similar in many ways to Tracy Chevalier's work.

I'll have to check it out. And I really wanted to check out Tracy Chevalier's new book. I was reading the blurb on it yesterday.

I've been waiting for that one for months after reading about it on her website!!! Still have money on a gift cert from the local indie store, so I'm going to check for it there next week. I"ll be curious to hear what you think of WH!
